Please note that Superdrug, Holland & Barrett & Gala News are NOT OPEN
(When any customer C&C arrangements are in place with the store, access will be granted via the bridge intercom buzzer).
We are following the guidelines set by the Government. You can find out more about the new restrictions here.
Q. Are You Closed?
The Galleria is closed with the exceptions of the THREE categories that the Government has advised can continue to trade during this lockdown period:
Q. What stores / brands / cafés / restaurants does this include?
The Brands that are offering any of the three services are listed above, however, given the current climate these change regularly and whilst we try and keep it as up to date as possible we do recommend to call direct to any stores/restaurants call ahead of any visits.
Q. What measures have been put in place to keep us safe?
A. All the safety measures that we have had in place since reopening back in June are continuing. This includes signage, posters and floor markings to help our guests maintain 2m social distancing. Hand sanitising stations are available at our entrances. Although we expect significantly fewer guests during this lockdown period, our teams will be carrying out extensive cleaning to ensure our guest safety.
Q. Have your opening times changed?
A. Please check our website for the individual opening hours of those ‘Essential Retail’ and those offering a ‘Click & Collect’ or ‘TakeAway’ service. You can find those individual store opening hours listed above. However, given the current climate these change regularly and whilst we try and keep it as up to date as possible we do recommend to call direct to any stores/restaurants call ahead of any visits.
Q. Will there be a limit to how long I can spend in the centre?
A. Please be aware that the Centre is in essence ‘Closed’ and therefore those guests visiting for one of the three categories that are allowed under Government guidance, should do so in a timely manner and not dwell for an unnecessary time within the centre.
Q. Can I visit / meet with friends and family?
A. The Government guidelines are very clear that there must be no mixing of households and the ‘rule of 6’ still applies to your own family bubble. Therefore, it will not be appropriate for guests to meet up with friends or family at the centre during this lockdown period. We would highly recommend that guests visit on their own and minimise the number of household members that accompany one another on an essential shopping / click & collect / takeaway during this period.
Q. Will I have to wear a face covering?
A. Yes. You are obliged to wear face coverings within stores and restaurants. Please make it clear to staff within the stores/cafés etc if you are exempt from wearing a face covering so that there is no unnecessary awkwardness.
Q. Will I have to queue to enter?
A. We don’t expect capacity to be an issue as it will only be a small number of guests that need to visit for one of the three categories allowed. Therefore, although we will be continually monitoring numbers, we do not expect to reach the volumes that will require us to ask you to queue to enter the Centre.
Q. Are all the toilets open?
A. Yes
Q. Will your free shop mobility service be available?
A. Sorry no, not during this lockdown period.
Q. Is your play area open?
A. No, Get Wild! remains closed.
Q. If I am dropping off an item to the CEX store, how can I get inside the main mall (which will be locked) to reach CEX?
A. Whilst this store is not open, you may be able to arrange to drop off items. Please visit CEX website for details ahead of your visit. (If successfully booked, accessibility will only be available via intercom assistance service on the bridge entrance to the upper mall.)
Q. If I am collecting a takeaway from a restaurant will I be able to gain access to the Odeon/bridge area of the centre?
A. Yes, these areas will be accessible.
