Local Partnerships Lead (FTC – 6 Months)

Summary

 

The Galleria is expanding its local footprint and we’re looking for a Local Partnerships Lead to connect our centre with the thriving business community across Hatfield, Welwyn, St Albans, and beyond.

This six-month contract role combines the best of leasing, retail activation, and community outreach. You’ll identify and engage local entrepreneurs, creators, and independent brands, bringing them into The Galleria through pop-ups, events, and flexible retail opportunities in addition to promoting The Galleria business occupiers amongst the surrounding communities and visitors. Working closely with the marketing team, you’ll help shape The Galleria’s community presence, hosting initiatives that spotlight local talent while driving long-term leasing growth. This is a role for someone autonomous, persuasive, and driven by results, part dealmaker, part relationship-builder, and full-time connector.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Help The Galleria business occupiers expand their reach, promote product and link with The Galleria visitors and community beyond.
  • Identify and engage local businesses, brands, and creators for short-term and long-term opportunities within The Galleria.
  • Build partnerships through direct outreach, networking, and community engagement.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to design and deliver pop-up events and local showcases that activate space and generate leads.
  • Use AI tools and CRM systems to track leads, automate outreach, and measure impact.
  • Negotiate flexible leasing and licensing agreements that meet both commercial and community goals.
  • Represent The Galleria across Hatfield, Welwyn, St Albans, and surrounding areas, turning local relationships into real retail presence.

  • Persuasive communicator with excellent presentation skills.
  • AI-fluent, comfortable using digital tools for outreach, research, and reporting.
  • A team player who thrives in dynamic, collaborative environments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Marketing, Communications, Events Management or related fields.
  • Proven experience in business development, retail, or partnership activation, community outreach,
  • Knowledge of the local business landscape (Hatfield / Welwyn / St Albans) highly valued.
  • Experience creating or supporting community events, pop-ups, or activations.
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with a results-first mindset.


Salary: Competitive pay + generous performance-based commission

Onsite: The Galleria, Hatfield (5 days/week, 9–5pm) field travel across local catchment area (approx. 30%)

6-month FTC (full-time) Start date: Immediate
