Founded in Fresnoy-le-Grand, France, by Belgian industrialists Armand Desaegher, a casting specialist, and Octave Aubecq, an enamelling expert, Le Creuset has been a pioneer in colourful cookware since 1925.

The introduction of their first enamel colour, Volcanic, marked the beginning of a vibrant journey. For a century, the enamelled cast iron has been manufactured at the original foundry, with each piece passing through the hands of several artisans, ensuring exemplary craftsmanship.
